PART TWO - THE PARK CONTINUED

When the newly formed trio reached the shade of the clump of trees at the other end of the park, Specialkidd suddenly shifted into her cat form, crouching low and prowling into the brush.  McJudgin waited in silence, peering into the foliage until he heard a tiny roar followed by a surprised yelp.

He watched with amusement as the little druid girl, still in cat form, dragged a little boy from the bushes, the cuff of one torn pant leg snatched up in her sharp teeth.

“C’mon…” the boy whined, “I was one with nature and… stuff.”

Even after Specialkidd released the boy’s pant leg and began bouncing around him, the rather ragged looking human remained flat on his back, a lazily glazed expression on his face.

“Is he ok?” the young paladin asked.

Specialkidd shifted back into her night elf self, poking at the little boy on the ground playfully.

“Hots is into… herbalism.  Keeps him… calm.”

“Pssh,” Hotsndots mused, “I’m good, fam.”

“Why would he need to be calm?  What’s wrong with him?” McJudgin asked tentatively.

Hotsndots, noticing the little paladin for the first time, grinned a lopsided smile before he suddenly began to change, his back hunching and a tail popping out of the backside of his mended trousers.  He let out a playful snarl, delighting in McJudgin’s awed expression when he took in the new form of the worgen pup.

          “Cool,” McJudgin whispered.

“Right?” Specialkidd giggled.  “He’s family.  Since his people relocated to Darnassus, we sort of adopted him.  He decided to become a restoration druid.  He’s good.  He should come with us.”

          “Definitely,” McJudgin agreed.
